ct scan tomorrow....do you have these symptoms?

Hello my symptoms include pain more like discomfort or fullness  either on the right lower ab, Bellybutton area, or left lower ab. It comes and goes. It’s worse in the morning whenever I am laying down. My stools are still pretty soft but seems like they’re harder to get out. I stomach is making a lot of noise. I’ve had this discomfort for nine days. Pain pretty much comes and goes throughoutThe day. No blood in stools. Pressure is still there after a bowel movement. I have a CT scan for tomorrow but I keep thinking it’s the big C and I’m so terrified. Thank you

This describes  me quite well over the  last 10 years endless scans, endoscopies etc  show nothing , diagnosis by exclusion of everything else IBS.  If it were cancer you'd most likely have lost a shed load of weight.  Might be diverticulosis a  bit might be constipation (even if stools loose).  I  have that problem with loose stool that seems  like they’re harder to get out  sometimes the muscles get damaged

Hope all will be well - best wishes let us know how it goes

I started with constipation, generalised stomach pain that moved about, nausea, back pain and then loose stools.  I was diagnosed with IBS.

I can relate to what you're saying! Was diagnosed with ibs 10 years ago with constipation. I had a scan just before Christmas and am awaiting the results. It's not am easy thing but not as bad as you think. It made me scared I had cancer too, my dad had diverticulitis then developed kidney cancer and my grandfather had bowel cancer. Listen to the instructions, don't wear anything you can't pull down under your knees and try not to wear much metal and oh don't eat more than an hour before - you'll be asked to drink liquid and have to have the scan before you wee again after the drink. Good luck it's really quick. X

What other tests have you had?  Were they negative too?  Has your doctor suggested any diagnosis?  If all tests were normal, IBS can be diagnosed.  Ask about IBS.

Wow you got your scans back quick. If you results were negative has your doctor said why? What are they going to do next aren't you the patient? I'd be asking what they can do. Good luck. X
