Cure mgd without hot compresses?

My eyes are swollen for 5 years now, some doctors said I have meibomian gland dysfunction others said I have an allergic conjunctivitis, but I have no itching or redness just swollen and dry eyes. Last time the doctor said my glands look good but my eyes are swollen though.

Hot compresses helped sometimes but my eyes looked never like before and sometimes my eyes got very irritated from the warming and the rubbing and it is very overwhelming to do it every day twice. Is there any other solution for this problem?

I have no idea how my eyes can be swollen when my glands look good.

I am super frustrated...
