Cured! Hopefully forever.

I was diagnosed two years ago with Granuloma Annular but had it for at least two years before that. I tried a few things to get rid of it including steroid cream, which made it way worse, but had little success up until recently.

My cure was I quit alcohol. Within one month my rashes started to fade, within four it's completely vanished. Hopefully it stays away forever. I'll let you know if it comes back as I do intend to drink alcohol again but not for another eight months.

Cheers and good luck

Hi there - just wondering if you are female and pregnant - as the hormones in pregnancy apparently can cure GA - I've read a few cases of pregnant women's GA clearning.  Stopping alcohol helped me.  I wonder if it's linked to how our bodies metabolise sugar?  I've recently stopped eating chocolate and sweeties due to cholesterol levels and it's fading again!  Lots of people also say it could be wheat/gluten intolerance, so will be giving up bread also. I'm lucky it's just on my ankle at the moment and faded on my right part of torso - but steroids never helped - just made me more itchy - plus they thin the skin! Anyway, hope that's it cured for you and best of luck!

That is awesome! Let us know if it comes back with alcohol. I suspect it may be a factor in GA
