Curious and stress

Hey guys, my questions are how long does a herpes test result take to come back? How accurate are they? What are a few signs of having it ( Male wise)? What are the chances of spreading it your spouse? Can outbreaks last for as long as a month? This was the best site to run across...

Depends on the test and whether you went public or private. Anywhere between a couple of days to several days, even over a week in some cases.

Swab tests are accurate, especially if done before the lesions have healed or if by pcr swab. The IgM antibody test is wholly unreliable, so don't do it. The IgG test is better, but only at 3+ months, and it depends on the test kit used and how you scored, etc.

Male symptoms would typically be blisters/sores on the parts of the genitals exposed to the virus, possibly burning urination, swollen nodes in the groin, etc. The first outbreak is highly infectious, as is the first year generally and any recurrences, but more so with HSV2, not HSV1. First outbreaks typically heal in 2-3 weeks. Recurrences in under a week.
