Hi, so I think I got this during sex about 4 months ago? I noticed a pain & it was there after we stopped - I didn't stop masturbating initially so it didn't heal but didn't get worse..about a month later i got a rough bb - it felt great during but once it had finished I noticed it'd gotten worse. Since then I've been taking time off etc to try heal it - I've probably had 3 desperate times where I haven't touched for a week..I need to note there's no itching.. no pain, sometimes it looks more visible than others? There's only ever been pain when i got it & after the bb but only to the touch - that's it..no discharge no symptoms at all other than visually..
For the past month I've masturbated about 3 times in the last 25 days - Currently (as of taking this photo) haven't masturbated or done anything sexual for 8 days - why wont it go away? what is it? do i go to a doctor for this kind of thing ?

If you're that worried just go see your Doc. It doesn't look bad at all but if it is pestering you, go see a doc.
You are talking abut the slightly whiter area in the bottom right, correct?

You are right to abstain from Masturbation and Sex until this clears up, so be patient! It is quite possible that it is coincidence that you noticed this after having sex - it is most likely you have a skin condition or you have a Dermatological reaction going on.
What I would do NOW is to put some ordinary antiseptic cream on it such as Germolene and see how it reacts. You will either get a positive reaction to this, make no difference, or make it worse. Unless the antiseptic clears this up, you are going to need a Medical Professional to help you with this ....
If you want a quick fix you do need to go see a Doctor who may then refer you to a Dermatologist, the sooner you do this the sooner you can get back to normal .....

Hi & Thanks for responding.
Isnt this kind of thing only useful if I'm infected though? or do antiseptics help clear up cut patches of skin?
Also I'm seeing people say that savlon is better for penis glans, is this true?
Thanks again - I'm going to see my girlfriend again in 4 days and we get to see each other for..2 weeks every 2-3 months so I really doubt I can go without sex for the duration, I'm scared to use this & make it worse before that though? do you have any ideas..

If you have a small cut, if you have a skin abrasion on your elbow you would use an antiseptic to help it heal - the same is true for skin no matter where it is on the body. In terms of which antiseptic I have found that if one particular brand works well elsewhere on the body, rather than another brand, then use the best one suitable for your skin type.
So, enjoy yourself when you meet with your Girlfriend, then start treating the skin issue you have - at some time, as this has been present for around 4 months anyway, this could start to turn much worse that it in now. The usual thing to do is not to put it off until later, deal with it while it is not too serious ...

Hey man
I've had pretty much the same thing since march. You can check my post out and see if you think so too. I have seen multiple GPs, Urologists and Dermotologists and no one knows what it is.
I have tried every cream and ointment you can think of, but to no avail. The only thing they can offer me now is a biopsy, but I'm very reluctant and hesitant to take that route.
Let me know if you get any answers.
Cheers

A Medial Biopsy is the only way you are going out find out what it is you have and to put the correct treatment in place otherwise you will continue to guess, and treat it incorrectly ....

Yeah, I understand that, but I am not really keen to have people cutting on the glans of my penis. It's much easier said than done.
Mine hasn't changed over the past 5 months or so and has stayed pretty consistent. I also believe mine was due to friction and this is now scarring that is left. If there are any drastic changes or progression, then I'd consider the biopsy, but for now I'm just watching. Some days it's barely visible.
Also, the dermotologist told me that that they're reluctant to do biopsies around the coronal area of the glans, because it can cause structural damage. There are tons of nerves that all come together around this area and to just cut on there wouldn't be the wisest choice I believe.

The Dermatologist has obviously presented you with the right information regarding risks to carrying out the Biopsy. Done correctly there would be no risk of nerve damage as they are only require a small sample of surface level skin. While this should go nowhere near the level of nerves, obviously, they cannot 100% guarantee this as they are dealing with minute differences in skin levels and with the slightest unintended slip of the hand they could end up going too far.
So, you are in the classic Knowledge versus Risk situation, you have seen quite a number of Medical Professionals already and still do not have an answer.
Safest approach could be to wait and see what happens ....
