Cut myself or something more

Ive been having bouts of yeast and BV infections for the last few months, I was aware that i was currently in the midst of a yeast and BV flare up. The discharge was evident. Over the weekend, Saturday/Sunday, I experienced EXTREME itchiness in the fold above my labia and in an act of desperation, I started to scratch vigorously, I know that I probably should have been more gentle, but I couldn't help myself. The area was swollen and red afterwards, I put Canesten cream on it and didn't think much else of it. The following Monday I notice a pimple had formed with a white center with a thick-ish hardened center that i was able to 'pluck' out and it bled slightly. Again, I didnt think much of it, as i had had pimples on that area of my labia before. However, as the day progressed, the hole turned into somewhat of an ulcer? im not sure if its that or just that the skin was missing...I continued to mess with it, i'm pretty sure I got it infected. As by the Wednesday, it looked a little pussy and the lymph nodes are now swollen on that side of my groin. Thursday it started to look a little better after i applied anti-biotic cream to it. I'm scared now based off of spending hours on google that this is more than just a cut that wont heal. I was previously tested in February, ive had the same partner for the last 7 months, all my results were clean, including HSV. We had unprotected sex last wednesday, and now i'm a little nervous. Any opinions would be great.

hi, based of the symptoms it leans towards herpes. However it doesn't help that you itched and picked at it and if you did not it would have looked a bit different now. Do you have any other bumps in the area ? Are you currently having a yeast infection or BV flare up now ? or has it since gone away ? if this one bump becomes an open sore i would suggest to get tested, swabbed if its an open sore.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Based off the fact that it just wont heal. I'm beginning to accept the fact that it might be herpes. There are no other bumps. just the one ulcer from where I scratched and picked and poked at. Yes I currently am having a BV and yeast outbreak. I'm going in to the doctor tomorrow to have it swabbed. although at this point. I'm not as hopeful.

Here's a pic of today's little beasty. The only thing I'm confused about. is why wont it crust over. or do anything typical of an initial outbreak. There were no multiple blisters or lesions. No fever. no malaise. I'm on day 5 now. I would have thought it would have started to dry up or crust over or invite more of its little friends or do something. it just hasn't changed...I don't know. I'm just confused. but I will wait on what the doctor has to say.

i reay think that it could have just been an ulcer or pimple that got infected from becoming open exposed to the discharge. I have seen BV or YI get bad enough to develop a lot of bumps and get infected without treatment. The discharge is very acidic and the fact that its literally bacteria overgrown from the infection and it keeping your vag constantly moist. Just adds to it not healing if you know what i mean ? you have a lot of discharge that just coats the area until you clean yourself. i dont think its herpes, hopefully tomorrow you can get a clear id on it and the test will let you know what you exactly have besides the obvious of a BV or YI.

      Hey Kelly,

I had been hopeful for awhile, I got some results back from the doctor last week that my HSV1 and Syphilis tests were negative...but I got a call from the doctors office today that my HSV2 igm and igg came back positive....go figure...I still my symptoms were unusual for a primary outbreak....I haven't seen the results myself. I'll pick up a copy from their office this week. But hey...go figure...if this is as bad as it gets...I guess I can live with it.

i am sorry to hear that the test results were positive for HSV-2 . Everyone reacts different tp herpes, some folks have full breakouts while others have a few sores and thats it. You can always take another test in a few months to see if it comes back positive again. was the test done by swab ? if it was done by blood ghat may indicate that you had it already in your system. Did the 1 sore heal completely ?
