Cutting dose of Bisopralol

I have been on Bisopralol 1.25mg for 2 years. In the last couple of months I've been having side effects. Slow heart beat, low blood pressure, tiredness, dizziness, nausea and diarrhoea. Seen doctor who says I have to see cardiologist as she can't do anything about it. Probably take weeks for appointment. I want to cut down the dose as I feel so awful. Has anyone shaved a little at a time of the tablet over several days? That is what I am doing. Only started yesterday. Will monitor blood pressure regularly and see how things go. Was put on bisopralol as had 3 episodes of AF. None in 2 years.
