Cyber knife treatment

Last month I had cyber knife treatment for my shingles on

right side of my lip. It was given for three days for 35 minutes

each time. It has not helped. It is more painful now. Also I have more saliva in my mouth. Is anyone had this treatment? Any reaction?

I’ve never heard of this treatment, cannot imagine what merit it could possibly have. Shingles in and of themselves are difficult to manage but it’s the damage that they do to the nerves after the shingles heal.  If this procedure was applied to active shingles I would only think it would spread them further and deeper. But I am not a doctor but would certainly question such procedure.

I’ve never heard of it. A quick search online defines it as a radiation treatment for tumors, either cancerous or benign. Was this it or something else?

I talked about this option with my specialised. She says it might be effective but the long term radiation effects are too dangerous as the risk of cancer is high the younger your are.

It might make more sense if you are older, much less so if you're younger
