Cycling after Knee Replacement (TKR)

Hey, any cyclists out there who have had TKR?

I'd love to hear your stories/experiences with getting back on a bike after TKR.

Things like;

  • How long before you could turn a pedal at all?
  • How did you build up your mileage?
  • Was cycling good or bad for your knee recovery?
  • etc...

For me, it was 5 months before I could ride at all. Then I did some hills and overdid it, and my knee was painful when riding for some weeks...
