Cymbalta?

hi everyone,

my new psychiatrist prescribed 60 mg of cymbalta along with abilify for my severe anxiety and ocd issues. Has anyone had positives from either or know if 60 is a high dose? I kept telling him I want to start low and he insisted 30 mg of cymbalta wouldnt do anything so he wrote it for 60... any feedback?

Mark

I Started with 30 mg duloxetine because I Am very sensitive . My diagnostic is ANXIETY , DEPRESION AND OCD. This dose is well tolerated and I Am feeling good and improving. Even though the 60 mg dose is low dose it doesnt mean everybody can tolerate it. Good luck.

      Judith ,

I feel that one should know what they are taking before they take it. Have you ever missed a dose of your CYMBALTA?

Hi Mark, it would be presumed that your Dr knows what they are talking about and I am sure he has prescribed this many times to many patients. My experience is that when you first take this med that the side effects are low, but the longer you take it the worse it gets. I have taken it for years and messed around with the levels, It is trial and error. My GP started me on 30 and over the years when I have had a blip he has put my prescription up, but I am back down to 30 which seems to suit me best with the odd time of excessive stress. Good Luck x
