Cymbalta 30mg

Hui guys, I developed Vertigo a year ago and sever anxiety.  I got rid if the vertigo but not the extreme anxiety.  They tried me on ativan but it worked for a few weeks and then stopped so started me on Clonzapem.  Tried different AD am very sensitive to meds so nothing worked.  Was on Remeron for about 8 months and helped sleep but not the anxiety.  Was down to 7,5mg of Remeron and stopped that and now I have been switched to Cymbalta 30mg now it has been 11 days.  So far after the a few up and down days seems to be alot better seems to help with the anxiety a bt not as much tightness in the chest still on the same dose of Clon .5mg three times a day plus .25mg at night.  The sleeping part is bad very restless.  Fall asleep for about 3 hours and then wake and toss and turn.  Was wondering how much luck other s have had with Cymbalta have heard so many bad things about it.  The doctors hope it kicks in and I can start to wean of the clon.  I tried a antihistame last night 1/2 of 25mg when I woke at 1am slept for about 5 hours.  Anyone else tried this or I heard Advil PM is good as well.

    You problems here seem you are not allowing time for the drugs to work, this becomes a self fulfilling situation where your anxiety condition is making you impatient and asking for a different medication.

    It is very important that you do not run down the list of medications to fast then the GP feels nothing is working. That happened to me and evntually I was on one of the last medications that would help me. There was no way back to earlier medications I had burnt my boats there was nothing left.

    When we listen to other peoples stories of medications that failed, it does not mean they will fail with you

    Let the medications work for you and not your anxiety

      Thnaks for the response.  Yes I am down to the last resort like you.  The other AD's SSRI was not that I was not giving them time to work I was getting severe reactions like the worse possible ones thumbing of the throat, temors, felt out of body experiences, no sleep which is why they stopped them.  So tnever tried a SNRI which is what Cymbalta.

      What medication did they find worked for you?

      Kathy I  take common Citalopram and Amytryptalene for nerve damage

      I have a rare type of Arthritis that effects my nerve and tendon shieves.

      Also I suffer joint flairs, My problems are mostly genetic.

      Bob, hopeful;ly noy in too much pain.  I am hoping this is the right med for me as well.  I must stop googling and only seeing bad things. Trust your body and acceptance.
