Cymbalta Withdrawal

Hi, first post on here so I apologise in advance, today is my third day off cymbalta, I've gone from 60mg to 30mg and now to zero, I had one weird week after lowering the dose, but what I'm going through now is pure hell!! I turn my head and it's as if I'm going to pass out!! Crazy sensation! Also sweating and really sick!!!Never felt so ill. Is this normal? How long should it last? Any advice for helping the symptoms?

Thanks

Avoid supplements, caffeine, certain pop like mountain dew. Limit yourself like coffee. My Dr. Advised me this. Going off cymbalta and going on new med. As I went through same thing its awful for anyone. Take ativan or whatever you were given to take edge off my Dr. Has me on ativan, I hope I don't ever have to go through this again myself.cymbalta, effexor, I had been still having what your experiencing and Dr. And ER are stumped as we are all different and it takes sometimes months or weeks. But I just went on Zoloft after unfortunate ER visits. And this all went away.immediately. Just work with your Dr. And needs and report your symptoms. he knows how to advise. I'm no Dr or chemist., 26 years of my issue anxiety, panic. When you do make changes or go off its hard. Are you not on a new med to replace cymbalta? Remember you know your body better than anyone. Let your Dr know, if its something not right then ER really is a big help. It was for me.and its an option. Because these are newer drugs.i got excellent care and guidance.

No I'm completely off the meds, my doctor basically said that there would be no side effects as I've tappered down!! Totally wrong!! Have little faith in the Drs knowledge now!!! I'm constantly dizzy at the moment and am getting what I guess is the brain zaps people are describing!! Really struggling with it!!!!

Augh! I feel for you. Sadly Doctors aren't always honest. There are affects of going off cymbalta and new drugs, and we should be told. Scarey or not. How would they like to go through this really? I hated the dizzies. Etc. But kudos going off it all. Go take a nice walk in a park if your close to one. As iam. It helps. Take your lunch. Do everything just normal or slow pace. One day at time. You will feel better. Fetzima was brutal, Dr. Wanted me to still take two weeks dumping half of beads out of capsule. After how sick I was in ER, sorry he's wrong and not in my shoes. ER hobedtlt scrambled because no one even heard of the drug.etc. If you can stay off meds that's the best. I can't. Best of luck and maybe other people on here have advice for you and jeep me updated😊
