Cymbalta Withdrawal Hell

Posted , 5 users are following.

I was on Cymbalta 30mg for 7 and then increased to 60mg for two days after that . I was having a lot of skin irritation and my brain also felt quite bizarre. I called my Doctor and was told to stop taking it. Two days after I stopped I started getting nausea. It would come and go for about two days. The last few days it has been chronic and I find it hard to eat even though I have not thrown up. I've also had lose stools. My nightmares have been very vivid and very dark feeling. I am also having a hard time sleeping as my sleep is very disjointed and I keep waking up. It's been a week since my last Cymbalta dose, I was wondering if anyone has been through the same symptoms as they are getting very unbearable and making me a lot more anxious than I would like.

Duloxetin is generic for Cymbalta. There are withdraw symptoms. But you were not on it very long so you should get over it quick. I took it for 6wks at 60mg. I tapered to 30mg for 7 days then stopped. I was not well for 2 wks. Severe headaches, dizzy bad, nausea a little. Fatigue. Brain zaps. Take Vit D, Vit.C, b12 an magnesium. Omegas to. Goodluck

I was worried to start this as I googled it and seen people saying its a nightmare to come off.

I did discuss my worries with the doctor and she said when the time comes we will do it very gradually.

I don't think your doctor should have said just stop.

I hope you get better each day as I'm sure you will xx
