Cyrocuff for reducing swelling?

Just wondering if anyone has used a cyrocuff for reducing swelling post-op ankle fusion/surgery?

    Hi, I havnt but was wondering the same thing I am FWB & out of plaster 4weeks ago, but the pain is still very painful & swelling every night If any one has used one can you let us know? If I decide to get one I will let you know!

      I do know the Physio's where I work swear by them but half the patients moan and say they are to cold, a quarter just moan and complain anyway and another quarter say they really help! Was wondering as I've priced them up and they are not cheap at around £110 for the full set up.

    I used some copper socks from Wal mart as seen on tv after incision was healed it seemed to help. Elevation and ice pack for first month worked best. First 4weeks from chair to bathroom to bed a small triangle lol.

    I got tol by my physio to submerge my foot in a bowl of ice cold water for as long as i cold stand and it helps with swelling and reduses the red colour as helps to pump blood around. My foot dont swell too much and i dont get pain, I would try the ice bath first rather than spend.  Good luck  sx

    Thanks for the advice, I'm keeping my eye out on eBay to see if they have any second hand!
