cyst on ovary

Hi, in need of some advise if any one can HELP, just had a letter today to tell me i have to go into hospital to have a telescopic check done on my bladder and to have a local anaesthetic due to a cyst on my ovary, thing is my menopause symptoms are severe and i am already in so much pain.  Has anyone had a similar experience, many thank's linda.xx

    Ovarian cysts are very common, altho less so in post-menopausal women. Most of the time they are benign and don't cause problems except pain and sometimes increase in Estrogen and testosterone. I am not sure if there is something else going on that they want to also check your bladder

    Its common to have pain when a cyst is bothering. Such was the case with me where my doctor recommended HRT, when that didn't work she put me on a low dose birth control pill, and voila, the pain went away. Im surprised some form of hormone replacement hasnt been offered. It really does the trick in stablizing your hormones and gets rid of cyst pain. Ask your doctor about it.

    I have had a telescopic check completed, it was many years ago now, but nothing to be concerned about as its a very small procedure. When I had it done I was in hospital 2 days, now though id expect a few hours before discharge, I was sore more than in pain, my procedure was called a laparoscopy.  I hope all goes well  I rally don't think youve anything to be scared of.

    when is your procedure and do you have any other symptoms ,,  i.e post menopause bleed ,bloating or other xx
