Hi all,

I ovulate yesterday/today. A couple of days ago I started getting a sharp stabbing pain on my right side above my belly button.

This pain would last for around 10 seconds and then would go. A few hours later the same happened again. Also yesterday I was getting the pain in the same location but the pain had changed from stabbing to a cramping.

My question is does anyone else get a similar pain in their upper abdomen during ovulation? Or any general upper abdominal pain during ovulation?

    Hi there!

I just started getting this type of pain this past month. I am in perimenopause and have a bunch of other menopausal symptoms even though I still have my period. The pain is in the upper abdomen area right below the ribs and it feels like a pressure and it causes a lot of discomfort. The pain just kind of lingers all day and makes me not want to eat but I force myself to. It has been a little better today though since my period ended two days ago. I'm wondering if it's due to changes in estrogen. Sometimes there's a sharp stabbing pain but that it just for a few seconds. There's also a group of discussions on this website that seems to be a bit more helpful and more people reply. It's called Menopause .... I would definitely check that out. How are you feeling now?
