Dabigatran and acupuncture

Hello, have any of you on anticoagulants had acupuncture as a therapy,  I'd be keen to know how it went as I'm considering it but a bit worried in case of bleeding.  Thanks in advance.

Hi there yes I've had acupuncture however it didn't seem to help. There is very little if any bleeding which is good. I had the BEST improvement on the FODMAP diet.

      hey Sandi,

can you give a bit more detailed info on how the FODMAP diet has helped with your afib? are you no longer on meds (such as Flecainide which I'd love to leave in the rear view mirror) for it?

      thanks!

      Hi Pauline,

I saw a chinese chap who specialised in accupuncture and chinese medicine, I must say it is very relaxing felt my whole body just chill out, funny thing was with it being my sinuses I was expecting the needles to go somewhere around my head but he treats the whole body and puts needles in the stomach.

Meant to ask you Linda, did it help with your sinus problem?  Best wishes.

      Hi Pauline,

Yes it did help very much, and also as I said helped my whole body to chill out, I think we AF people tend to hold our bodies tense without realising it especialy when we are having an AF attack.
