My father has had a complete shift in his personality over the last few years and lately it's gotten really weird. He always seems to be moving fast like tonight he was taking the trash out to the garbage can and as I went out to ask what he was throwing away(since it's my daughters birthday and didn't want him throwing out her toys) and he was standing there holding his left upper leg with both hands and almost like trying to control a violent shaking, he wouldn't even look at me or respond when I asked if he was alright or what was wrong and then started sticking his tongue in and out of his mouth while still shaking and sort of bouncing up and down while still holding his left leg. He's done this a few times but always acts different and we couldn't tell if he was joking with us  but when he didn't remember I knew it was serious, every time it lasts about a minute or two and when he stops he doesn't remember, he won't go to the hospital but keeps saying his head is messed up and he actually just lost his job from his strange behavior/mood swings so now he has no insurance. Who knows how often this has happened at work that we don't know about! Needless to say My mother and I couldn't convince him to go to the hospital because this is getting scarier and scarier. Also he said his leg was sort of numb after but had no recollection of the episode when we described it to him. My mom has mentioned him shaking in his sleep a lot too. I don't know what this could be but I'm afraid for him and maybe if someone can tell me anything at all it might convince him to try getting help again. Please, any advice at this point will help...
