Daily bleeding! Advice please :(

Hey, ill start off with when my problem started which was 9 months ago. I started getting on and off bleeding while going to the loo, on my stool and when i wiped. I went to the GP who said it was piles, i thought ok fine. this january i had one whole month of no bleeding and then bleeding again mid feb, this time i though id try the maylong ointment cream on amazon. I tried that for two days and then i realised it made matters worse i had blood on my clothes from what i think is hemorroids, i stopped using the cream and since then have had daily bleeding not so much but blood when i wipe and on stool. I am so scared right now thinking it maybe something more serious! no one ever bleeds everyday for months with hemorroid 😦 Did the maylong cream ruin my hemorroids further do you think? I AM SO SCARED! I'm scared its something serious. Can someone calm me down a little im freaking out.

    hi jasmino

please do not worry your bleeding sounds mild

i bleed after every BM every day

and its not even just when i wipe it drips fast for half an hour to an hour into the toilet bowl each time and has done for a good year straight now

just do not panic your body is capable of more things than we give them credit for

and ive only needed one transfusion from it

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you are at the moment!

At the start of my first year at uni (back in 2016) I discovered there was a bit of blood in the toilet bowl after having a poo. I thought this would be a one-off thing but it had become a regular occurrence. I was afraid it was something more serious but my family history led me to believe it was due to haemorrhoids. I've had them since I was young and I've had a tiny bit of blood before whenever I wiped. So I ignored the bleeding hoping it would heal and eventually stop. However, the bleeding got heavier and in 2018 (halfway through 2nd year) I took myself to A&E because I was getting really dizzy and really short of breath very easily and I couldn't concentrate on work. I had suspected I had become anaemic from the blood loss which turned out to be true. The hospital gave me multiple blood transfusions and I was told they were going to book me in for an emergency colonoscopy and endoscopy to see if there were any unknown cause of bleeding. (what I thought would be a one night stay turned out to be 4 nights). Luckily, the results came back negative and ruled out anything other than external haemorrhoids. They did refer me to a specialist to discuss surgery but I decided to wait until after my studies.

Fast forward to this year where I've now graduated and still have occasional bleeding during bowel movement (still dripping into toilet) but I tend to go once a day to try and limit amount of bleeding. I've now gotten myself referred to a specialist back at home and I am currently on a waiting list. But hopefully, once I have the surgery and I can stop worrying about the bleeding which stresses me out (apart from the slight discomfort which I barely notice).

so glad you had it checked out, thank god they ruled anything serious out. im so stuck i had 3 good days and now back to bleeding and now i wont even get a sigmoidscopy cause of the coronavirus, i am honestly really getting scared because of this.

hey what surgery are you going to get done ?

I'm hoping to get a hemorrhoidectomy as I think there's less of a chance of hemorrhoids coming back. Although I have heard the recovery is tough, I'd rather soldier through it than to lose any more blood. I agree that it might be a while before it happens with what's going on with the coronavirus.

In regards of the bleeding what I found kinda helps is to walk around a bit and try not to sit all day to ease the pressure off your rectum.

Also when passing bowel movement, I realised that the bleeding usually happens if I clench my bum 😂 so I've tried not doing that as much and just letting it slide out without forcing it.

I really do hope your surgery stops your bleeding and you dont need to worry about it no more. lol i dont think i clench my bum. Even if the beginning part of my stool is a little dry i bleed, even though the rest of the stool is fine.

    hi

I know how scary it is .

    I have struggled with piles for years , I m only 39

they come and go all the time ,with some help from Anusol

    well.... yesterday I had a fright 😦

my piles have been uncomfortable for a couple of days , rectal pain ( mild ) ,itching after bowel movements. and yesterday after I went to to toilet, I noticed a bright streaks of blood on the toilet paper. and a tiny bit on a last bit of poop ( sorry )

I was trying to dab my bum with wet wipe and yes I could see pink on it 😦

I absolutely freaked out , its horrible .

my husband is been very calm and rational a suppose, as I have had piles for so meny years

    but I m worries,they never bled before .

and yes , the virus situation dosnt help , cant see a doctor .

I have red ,that it's ok for piles to do that , as long as it dosnt bleed a lot and dosnt go for longer then week.

    pleaae advise ,share your experience

thank you and hope you all well

    take care

hey dont worry, its seems like you just have hemorroid. just drink lots of water and veg and you should be fine. I think its worrying when you bleed every day or evey other day for months and months. one of bleedings here and there are fine. The thing with me is my bleeding had become quite regular so its worrying me.

Hi Maryam, i had a colonoscopy and they found a flat polpy it didnt look good so they sent me to another hospital to have a procedure called ESD to have that taken out along with a good margin. the histology report thank god showed high and low dysplasia. so glad i got it removed as it could have turned cancerous. i am now on the monitoring plan. ive had my 6 month check up two month ago and my one year check up next year. I did think it was just hemorroids i guess not.
