Damaged septum??: No nasel cartilage and possible to press nose inwards !

Hi all,

I been off the coke for about 7 months now as i was getting some pretty crap gear recently and certain it caused the damage. I used have binges on the high strength stuff and seemed ok but during the last 2 years i just had the odd couple lines now and then but i noticed my nose really whistles if i breath through it.  It also has become extremely flexible, can literally bend it completely to the left and the right and can depress it if pressed and only feel a tiny septum!  i’ve examined it carefully and there is no hole, just a white septum on either side but the coke seems to have burrowed in and around the septum forming deep canals- time to stop !

Despite managing to stay off it i’m worried about the permanent  damage and if i accidently go out and get on it again i be finished? I have cut away from most of my mates that use and trying to stay clean.

will it heal if i stay clean? thanks

Unfortunetly...this will not repair on its own.

My son had it and had to be surgically repaired.

Did he have hole or thin septum?

I'm really not sure...he was boxing....and I think it got misplaced....all I remember (it was years ago) was he needed surgery and they said it would not repair itself.

He had trouble breathing and had the whistling sound....and he had it fixed and couldn't box for a long time which really pee-d him off.

He didn't want the surgery...but the symptoms of breathing and wheezing and being uncomfortable forced him too.
