Does swallowing hurt? If you can tolerate anything, were you told not to eat?  I don't want to give you information you may already have tried. But what about yogurt, mashed potatoes, really bland stuff , smoothies if you can tolerate them?

Just a comment about mashed potato. I don't have anything like Damamma's problems but I do go through phases when swallowing is slightly difficult. At times like this I find that potato in any form - including mashed - is as difficult to swallow as bread. Seems to be something to do with its sticky quality for me.

But we're all different, of course.

Fair enough- I guess I was relating it to my dad when he was elderly and had swallowing issues. But that was likely due to something else. Anyway- mash potatoes was his staple. But don’t want to harm anyone. These are all suggestions obviously.

Damamma, you carry a very heavy load.  I do not have Scleroderma but have Raynaud's and have been, since about 1989, a member of a British Association founded by a wonderful woman eventually awarded the OBE for the work she did to raise awareness of these diseases, raise money for research and help those afflicted.  Two or three years ago two associations joined to become 'Scleroderma & Raynaud's UK' or 'SRUK'.  They produce a magazine four times a year.  I am sure you could get help there:  I live in Australia so have not had direct contact with the group but have always been impressed by what I have read in their magazines.

    With very best wishes

    Maureen

    Hello Damamma

The moderator removed the web link to the association but you just have to goggle the name and this will come up.

    With very best wishes again,
