Dancing and Fibro

Hi, I have Fibro (diagnosed Jan 2016) and as all of you do, I have a ot of pain and tiredness. I also have a friend with Fibro and CFS. She has had it for 32 yrs. My question is, how can she teach linedancing and babysit very young grandkids and still function normally? Am I over-reacting to my symptoms? My friend also has a monthly linedancing social and she does about 40 dances on those nights nonstop, I'm lucky is I can do 6 dances. Please, is this normal for FM and CFS suffers?

Hi Dippy1. Well no two people are alike with FM. It is unusual for most of us to have that kind of energy.  Some may have more than others. Some find that exercise is the key to coping with their FM. Perhaps she does not suffer as much from Chronic Fatigue. She may have periods however, where she is less active and may suffer more pain. Try not to ever compare yourself with anyone else my dear. We are all unique individuals with our own particular circumstances. Just cope with your own struggles with FM. 6 dances is still pretty good girl! Take One day at a time. x

Hi dippy1, everyones symptoms are different, some people only have mild symptons and just have the odd off day where other like myself have all off days, i can't exercise at all without passing out, i can barley get through doing house work. so i wouldn't compare yourself to another sufferer as we are all different. you just have to find your level and go from there.
