Day 1 - Sertraline 50 mg

I am struggling with severe anxiety for some time and was prescribed propranolol which ive been taking for four weeks which has been reducing the physical symptoms but i've still been all over the place. My GP this week has prescribed 50 mg of sertraline and so today was day 1. My GP did inform me that the anxiety may get worse before it gets better. just wondering if anyone has not had this happen to them in the first couple of weeks? I am worried about getting worse and get anxious about getting anxious and having more panic attacks. Thanks for your help.

    hey! i got put on 50mg sertraline and it was my first day yesterday taking it, i woke up today and was sick and i think thats a common side effect. Im also weary about taking these as i get bad panic attacks too but cant cope with the sickness!

    Hi,

    I've been taking Sertraline for a few months now and I didn't experience any increase in anxiety at all. It may do the same for you. Hang in there!
