Hi. Feeling a bit fed up, as mentioned above I am now on day 12 of upped level of Lustral & while I am a little better I still have headaches, stomach not as sick, tired all the time, but my legs are like jelly & I thought I would be further on as I was already on this med for a good while. I have 2mg of anixcalm but thats not helping or maybe it is and I would be alot worse if I wasnt taking it... I was told I could take 2 tablets but trying not to. Im back with Dr., in two weeks to see how I am going. Im smiling here as he said come back in three or four weeks but he forgot to tell me this mucky side effects, or did he - lol

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time right now, but stick with it, from my own experience I can say things do get better. I think the important thing to remember is to not get annoyed with yourself for not being as far along as you would like to be, it's not a race, there's no schedule, everyone is different, and if you can see even the slightest improvement that's something to be grateful for, and to hold on to.

Unfortunately with Sertraline and a dose increase the horrible side effects do seem to kick back in again for a couple of weeks, but they should die down soon. Don't be afraid to take that extra tablet if it helps to get you through the rough patch, the doctor wouldn't have given them to you if he/she didn't think they were neccessary.

Take all the help you can get to get you through the rough patch, there's no shame in it, and come out stronger the other side.

I hope things get better for you soon.

How long have you been on it altogether and what dose have you gone up to?

This is my second time taking it, the first time I think I was on it for about a year and a half. It took a good six months to feel normal and back to my old self, my doctor then said that to get the best effect from it to stay on it for at least six months, before tapering down slowly to coming off completely. That time I went up to 100mg before it started to kick in for me.

I was off them for a good five years, but went through a really rough patch with physical health among other things which knocked me right back again. I've been taking 50mg now for six months, and don't plan on going back up to 100mg this time around as the lower dose is doing the job, and I am starting to feel back to my old self again.

started a good few years ago when I had an over active thyroid that GP, Consultants etc., could not agree on so I was anxious about being depressed and depressed about being anxious, every time I thought I/they knew what was up with me, no it not, yes it is!!! It took a locum to send me to ED and they said yes it is, you have overactive thyroid, finally after 9 months I had been on 100mg and now gone up to 150mg. Ive recently changed Doctors and the new one is so much more understanding and I could write a book on my old Doctor but no one would believe me or maybe I would even end up in court!! Lets just say he put me on tablets that either I shouldnt have been on for a long period of time or not at all, so now Im back to trying 150mg and when that settles I need to wean off another tablet.

the joys and if you can not trust a Doctor & what he gives you, who can you? Y es, pretty peed off at the minute so Sorry about the mini rant after all you just asked about the dose - lol. Jx
