Day 14 on Fluoxetine when will it work ????

Hi All

currently on day 14 of Fluoxetine for major depressive disorder and general anxiety disorder. Tried lots of other ADs also currently take quetiapine 225mg at night im very low in mood . Anxiety through the roof no motivation dont want to do anything cannot work nothing seems to help i have lost all hope for a normal life again . I am currently taking 20mg of Flu everyday please can someone give me some hope that this tablet will start to work soon as im also needing to take propranolol and diazepam for anxiety which i hate having to take please help

    hi Donna, I tried many makes of AD until I found one that suited me and it's fluoxetine. I take 40ml daily at the moment but I don't take any other meds, I've been on it a few year now and it helps with both the depression side and the anxiety so hopefully it suits you and then you won't need the diazepam coz they will not really be helping hun. all the best

    hi donna perhaps u need to increase your dose of flu now youve had 14 days on them ask ure gp and u may be able to slowly reduce ure other meds,its worth a try hope ure soon feeling a bit brighter.baz.xx
