Day 3 ... I keep getting waves of excitement.

Been on sertraline for 3 days. First 2 days I had 50mg and today 100mg. I was given 100mg by my doc but I decided to half the first 1 and have it over 2 days.

All is going well. They make me feel sleepy and tired which is normal but today I've had these odd feelings.

You know when you're very excited about something you get a warm shiver? A very nice feel good rush all over your body. Similar to orgasm actually.

Well I've been having those rushes randomly. I just had one typing this. It feels nice, but it's worrying because it keeps happening and I don't like that.

    HI James.   Nothing to worry about, that’s normal to feel odd stuff when starting this medication.  It’s great that you like the sensation, it scares the bejesus out of most of us lol.

      Hey Laura, that's good to know.

      I keep reading posts on here from others who are getting awful side effects on 50mg and I feel like a sitting duck waiting for the bad side effects to come lol! So far not too deliberating except when I feel wiped out but I just go with the flow and use it as an excuse to sleep ha or relax and read a book. Finding it difficult to eat is about the only annoying bit but I just pick at food all day to keep energy up.

    The first time I took it I had minimal side effects and was like you describe so do t wait for nasty side effects they may not come.

      I take omeprazole with it to protect my stomach a bit.   I also find Andrews salts help the nausea.   This will pass.  That’s a shame.

    Wish I felt like that on my first two weeks of taking them haha my side effects were nasty and I mean nasty lol so I agree with Laura it’s not really a bad thing x

      The side effects came. Yesterday was deliberating and for about 4 hours I couldn't move I was so drowsy. I tried to walk down stairs and ended up sitting on the step half way down falling asleep. It was quite a pleasurable experience though ha ha!
