Day 5 and feel like I am going crazy.

Posted , 5 users are following.

I am really struggling here. All day my mood fleets from up and down with the crippling anxiety there at all times. Is it normal for my brain to change so quickly? I feel like I am going insane! I know others have experienced these side effects for 6 weeks and more but do they stay this severe the whole time? I just want to feel better.

hey Jaybeen. I know exactly what you are going through and I can assure you its completely normal. your brain is on overdrive because of the anxiety and your central nervous system is on high alert. you will find that it will reach a peak and you will be like wtf! then it will slowly start tapering off the other way. so the symptoms and side effects you have will start lessening

your mood is bound to be up and down as you'll have moments where you will think, I've forgot this then moments where you feel the complete opposite

what other side effects/symptoms is bothering you atm aswell? it's always good to get it off your chest

plus if I've had anything similar I might be able to advise or help

Hi Potatoghost its lovely to meet you. Thank you for your reply it really helps to hear someone else has experienced what you have so its easier to rationalize things in your head. The most worrying side effect for me is the constant feeling of impending doom. My racing heart and panic attacks stopped after day 2 of starting 5mg Citalopram so I feel confused that my brain is having these disturbing thoughts something bad is going to happen or as weird as it sounds I am scared I might start having thoughts about harming myself.

    Hey Jay!

You are in the beginning process. Sometimes

the symptoms are severe and then they leave. It's the roller coaster ride. Cut out caffeine and alcohol which will help. Try to excercise or walk. Put headphones on and escape in music or talk radio. p

Keep me posted if how you are doing.
