Day 5 on Champix to stop smoking ....Headache

Hi,

Today is my 5th Day on Champix , since day 3 I've had tension headache .I'm still smoking as much as ever ,no desire to cut down ,no bad taste or nausea just the headaches.I have taken 2 lots of paracetamol.

I had a word with the smoking cessation counselor who said maybe I'm extra sensitive to Champix , it kicked in early to block the receptors and my headaches are actually withdrawal. Unfortunately I think it's blocking my caffeine too as I'm not getting my usual hit from coffee either.

Hopefully when I go on the blue ones next week I will lose my desire to smoke as I have read from other smokers but at the moment nothing is happening except the tense headache .Was it like this for anyone else on Champix ? I have to stop ,doctor's orders so I'm hoping it will work for me.
