Day 6 insomnia hell please help

im on day 6 of citalopram and ive not slept for 4 days now has anyone else experienced this? the dr gave me sleep tablet which hasnt worked. advice please

when do you Take it ? if at night tome change to morning.. this helped me..

thanks for replying i do take it in the morning. i get really tired about 930 then 1130 im awake for the intire night

ok, that sounds horrible.. noting worse than insomina.. you prob need to reach out to doctor and let them know whats going on. what dose you start on ?

i did reach out and he gave me some sleeping tablets i took one last night and still the same thing it didnt help me sleep

I would call back today, this med might not be for you, or if he started you on 20mg it may be too strong and go down to 10mg..
Are you getting any sleep during the day.night ?

i was on 20mg then reduced to 10mg i had a better night last night but spoke with my gp today she has put me on mirtrazapine now to try as it helps with sleep so i will see how that goes

Yeah 20mg is a tough start and can be too much.. It's weird as another person might have the opposite affect and want to sleep all day and night..but everyone is different.. Hopefully the 10mg will be easier on you to start off with.. I have never tried mirtrazapine but i see a lot of people on here take it at times..
