Day 6 on zoloft started temazapam last night for sleep

Hi everyone.  I am on day 6 of 25mg zoloft.  I am not having a good day today, though I got great sleep after changing from klonopin to 15mg temazapam.  Problem is today I am feeling a lot more anxiety and I am scared.  I cannot stop biting my nails, my appetite is not that good either.  Today is the first day I have noticed the increase in anxiety.  I wasn't taken very much klonopin only .25 as needed.  I know the temazapam has made me very tired today.  The zoloft I take in the morning because it does not make me tired.  My doctor is wanting to me to be on 50mg starting this Friday.  Will the side effects get worse as I go to a hire dose?

My side effects increased alittle but I increased from 50 to 100 very slowly. I took 50 for 4 months and then increased to 100. But being on 25 and jumping to 50 shouldn't cause to much of a difference. My side effects didn't really kick in till my 7th day on 50. But everyone is different.

Hi, I’ve always found the first couple of weeks to be a bit of a rough ride. It does state that you can have increased anxiety initially. I was nauseous and lost my appetite as well . Just hang on in there it would appear that’s it gets worse before it gets better .

    Good luck

Thanks for your reply.  I am still feeling sad today I want to cry.  When will this be over.  I hate the anxiety, loss of appetite, still depressed.  I know I have heard it gets worse before better.  I have been putting off taking anti-depressant for months.  I struggle with sleep anxiety and low mood depression,  I am 45 years old and life is going by too fast

It will get better but it’s not instant. Your mood should lift at about the 2 week mark but the anxiety takes a little longer. It was a bit of a roller coaster for me initially but it will even itself out. Have you tried relaxation tapes. Reading up on anxiety knowing that your not alone also helps. I just have to keep my mind occupied so I’ve started swimming and take the dog out more just something to distract your thoughts. It will get better, talk to your GP if ur struggling but my GP earned me the first 2 weeks would be the toughest.
