Day 7 on Zoloft

Posted , 6 users are following.

I need advice....im on day 7 of Zoloft and I feel awful. My blood sugar is all off, and when tested it's normal, but I feel like I'm always low. Been to the ER 3 times cuz I thought I was gonna pass out. Can't sleep and have no energy or desire to do or go anywhere. I feel so much worse then before I started taking this. I'm gonna continue to ride it out but has anyone else had issues w bs while taking this. I'm hoping it will pass when I up my dose. Oh and all labs for diabetes came back normal 🤔

I felt the same way on day five I couldn’t do it.   Going back to doc on Monday to try another option.  Everyone keeps saying to just stay on it but for me it just didn’t make sense my anxiety was never even close to that to begin with.  Good luck to you, whatever you do.

Hello Mae , sorry to hear your having a rough time with it. I don't have blood sugar high or low but I felt like you, and I'm sure alot others on this forum has also. I'm real glad you go to the hospital when you aren't feeling right, always good to do. This med seems to cause alot of side effects. I had so many that to be honest with you that I don't remember until someone else brings it up. I know its hard to hang in there and I can only tell you my experience. I'm thankful that I kept going with it because no telling where I'd be today if I didn't. With that said, not all people can take this med. Keep in contact with your doctor and inform him or her of anything that seems off. This is a slow acting med and in my case my anxiety hit the roof. It can take 6 to 8 weeks to feel better, some people it takes less and some more. I hope this helped some and if I can help answering anything else please feel free to ask away. 🐾

I know how difficult it is being on this med. If u can stick with it please do. I felt very weird on it for a while like I was on the outside looking in. At times i felt like a robot. The anxiety is awful but that will cease. It does take about 6 to 8 weeks before u begin to feel better. If u need any support lots of us are here. Take care

I’m with Brenda. It’s very early days 😩 I also ended up in hospital 3 times. I didn’t want to go on any medication but finally at 63 years of age was diagnosed with a panic disorder where the chemical balance in my brain needed resetting. So no choice. Told not to expect improvement until 6 weeks at least but will be worth it. I couldn’t have done it without Valium. I have a fantastic doctor too which helps. Do you have Valium or something to help on the really bad days? I would definitely ask your doctor. Hang in there. This forum is great so when you need support we are not far away. ??

I have adivan as needed. That seems to be the only thing that helps. I'm scared to take it a lot cuz I don't want to get addicted to it but it helps me so much!
