Dealing with Vaginal issues for years and I was oblivious. HELP!

Hi! I'm really hoping this reaches the right audience and that i can definitely receive help and advice! For years I've been washing my vagina with soap on a wash cloth for years since I was younger. I kid you not, I thought that this was the way you were suppose to wash your vagina and it caused vaginal odor and an infection if i remember when i was younger. But I still didn't know that the cause of this was because I cleaned my vagina with soap IN and OUT. Just last year I came across a tik tok that explained vaginal diseases/issues and it said to not wash vagina with soap. I was devastated and shocked that I had to sit there and think about my actions (sounds about stulid as heck I know). I stopped using soap and just washed with water and wash cloth inside and out. The smell still hasn't gone away and I sometimes get bumps on the top of my cooter (like above the vulva or the lips part of my vagina). The smell has improved a little bit but is still strong. This has given me anxiety and problems for so long that I'm disgusted of myself and it's all I can think about every single day I'm losing my mind. I am so embarrassed to go to a doctor and I just bought Ph-d boric acid supplements but am too scared to take it because I didn't know it was through the vagina and not orally. Some may not believe me and think I am absolutely stupid but shi, that's you boo. I just please, need help because I feel like I won't never let a man touch me because of this. Thank you in advance.

I would just stop washing the inside all together if anything just rinse with water the wash cloth could be causing irritation. If it smells I'd first go see your doctor they can test to rule out other things and perscribe an antibiotic if it's bacterial vaginosis. The antibiotic probably won't work but you could be one of the lucky seemingly few that it does. I've not tried boric acid cause I'm too scared too but I just got some vaginal probiotic suppositories that I think I'm going to try.
