Acid reflux is a problem that wont find any easy answers. Those who suffer must change what they eat and drink, full stop. I was in love with my tea, but had to bid adieu and settle for camomile tea.... dont be afraid, it grows on you. As one suffering from IBS and Gerd, i have had to learn to eat and like a whole raft of stuff i never thought eatable. Good luck and be blessed

Ideally one keeps away from ALL foods and drinks that cause reflux.

But few of us can live ideally.

I enjoy one good strong coffee a day and countless caffeine free cups of tea.

If you really like coffee then decaf will not do it for you.

i suggest you cut down the number of caffeine and carbonated drinks you have. Cut down SLOWLY and don't go cold turkey.

My history: Reflux sufferer (laryngeal) for many years and the last 4 years on meds

It's my understanding that it's the acid, not the caffeine in coffee that affects reflux. I've ordered some lower acid coffee and will report on how it seems to work.
