Decoding blood results

Hello, wanted to ask your help and tell me what does the test say exactly about my iron, hemoglabin amount, I tried checking it out myself, but the measures and all the numbers are confusing for me. I add my blood test paper, below Doctor has written Iron levels - 8,8 mmol/L

Glucose - 4.96 mmol/L and at the very end he said I should check for possible anemia. My question is what are exact numbers of my red blood cells, hemoglobin, iron and what are the normal amounts for non pregnant adult woman? Thank you very much.

    Each lab have their own ranges. You can google typical ranges. Your iron looks at the lower end of normal typical 7-27 range and your blood cells look at the the smaller end. Both of these are indicative of iron deficiency anaema.

    Your exact act numbers are on the test result.

    Your results are the upper level and the ranges are the lower level on your copy.   So  where you see your values are low for RBC. Hgb, Hct, Rdw, look at the ranges that are below those results.  Your results point to iron deficiency, which is called anemia.  Your doctor may put you on an iron pill, which you can buy in any drug store, or may have you eat more iron rich foods. Anemia is actually very common, especially among woman and it is easily fixable.    Also.. your % Neutrophil count is high, but nothing to worry about yet, as your WBC is still within range.  Still.. it's something that should be retested in a couple months to make sure it does not keep rising. Hope this helps.

    Normal hemoglobin levels for adult women are 12.0 to 15.5 g/dL, that means 12.0 to 15.5 Grams of hemoglobin per deciliter (dL) of blood. So you need to look at your hemoglobin levels and compare to the normal range. Also for Glucose test to be effective you would need to be fasting (Not Eating or Drinking) anything for Eight Hours prior to the blood test. So the normal range for Glucose is the same for Men and Women it is 60 to 110 mg/dL so Normal Sugar(Glucose levels are between 60 to 110. So converting from mmol/L to mg, yours being 4.96 would be roughly 191.50 mg/dL. That means your Glucose is well above the Normal range and is High blood sugar (Hyperglycemia). Below are normal Blood ranges for adult females with conversion.

    Hemoglobin - Female: 12.0-15.5 grams/dL

    (120-155 grams/L) - Hemoglobin represents Iron, Iron binds to Hemoglobin.

    Hematocrit - Female: 34.9-44.5 percent %

    White blood cell count (WBC) -3.5-10.5 billion cells/L

    (3,500 to 10,500 cells/mcL)

    Platelet count - 150-450 billion/L

    (150,000 to 450,000/mcL**)

    * L = liter

    ** mcL = microliter

    *** dL = deciliter
