Decreasing libido/erection strength + increasing gray beard hairs

Over the last 6 months I've noted decreasing libido and general interest in sex. I'm 35. I have a girlfriend and while we had sex 4x/week the first two years of dating, since moving in together it's around 1x/month, a dramatic decline. She goes on frequent business trips and my libido remains low, so I don't think it's anything to do with cohabitation or attraction.

I have noticed that morning erections used to be near daily but now are very weak or non-existent. I still lift weights and exercise every day for 60 mins, take vitamin D supplements, eat walnuts, brazil nuts, pistachios, get daily sun exposure and sleep 8+ hours/night. I've noticed getting 50-100 new gray beard hairs, starting out on my chin but extending to the rest of my beard now, though my head remains grayless. I've also noticed general decrease in muscle mass and overall feelings of strength and vitality. I'm going to see an endocrinologist and get tested but am getting very depressed -- I feel this is a symptom of nascent cancer or something bad, as my male friends don't have grays or don't have any issues in bed. We also don't have kids yet and if this is a terminal illness I don't think we should, but it's in the back of my mind and scaring me. Any guidance or thoughts would be appreciated!

people are different based on their aging appearances, so some people get their grey hair sooner and some later. sexual libido is the same. its ok if that happened. you can do exercises for that to make that harder. if not you can just take viagra pills

ED pills can certainly help erection for intercourse but your low libido is more likely to be age or hormone changes. Lack of morning erections might indicate a blood circulation problem. Nothing you report would indicate cancer of any sort but you could ask for blood tests to eliminate some cancers eg leukaemia. Why would you suspect cancer and what sort do you fear it could be?

I feel much more fatigued in general waking up than I ever did. Particularly if I have even a small amount of alcohol. I've noticed that my palms are quite yellow, so perhaps this is liver disease.

Maybe this is a wake-up call to get the hormonal checks and revise your alcohol intake. Livers recover well if given a chance. It is able to regenerate if damage is not too extensive.

My feeling is that the premature greying and low libido may be unrelated.

The age at which hair greys runs in families and isn't usually related to ill health. Do you have afamily history of going grey early? I wouldn't worry about this tto much, grey hair is fashionable at the moment.

The low sex drive sounds like you may have low testosterone levels. A blood test should determine this quite quickly. If that does turn out to be the case there may be some follow up investigations to rule out rare cancers. Testosterone replacement therapy is safe and effective though. I've been on it for 10 years

Glad to hear it's safe and effective. Have you had any negative side effects from the TRT? I've noticed I've started to put on weight in the last 3 months without changing my fitness regime - could that be a sign of low t?

Weight gain is possibley a sign of low testosterone but difficult to say

I've got on well with testosterone replacement. It does switch off you own production of testoserone so you have to commit to being on it regularly or you will be worse off.

It will lower your sperm count and make you sub fertile. This wasn't an issue for me but could be for you if you are wanting kids?

Everyone is different but at 35 you should be hornier than a 3 peckered billy goat. Get your testosterone checked. Stop worrying about a terminal desease thats not helping either. I wouldn't worry about the grey hair

Not including the grey hair issue, everything you are talking about sounds like low T to me. I had all of the issues you are describing, and went in and got tested. Sure enough, my T was low. I got on replacement therapy and feel like a different guy now. Morning wood has returned, libido is back, and I was finally able to shed the extra weight I'd put on. I've noticed zero side effects from the hormones.

As for the grey hair issue, welcome to getting older.....  sad
