a blip can be milder or as bad as before the meds sometimes.
a lot of the time they feel worse because it's been a while since feeling that bad.
normally they aren't as bad and go away but once you start worrying about them that's when they get out of control
the best way to tell is if you have seen improvement on your dose its more than likely a blip.
ride it out out its temporary x it's not the meds not working its completely normal to have them.
I'm the same with the stupid panick attacks myself the past few days.
it's truly horrible! hope you're ok x

i know it's tough I know it sucks but you are a trooper! it might be a low point now but it will pass and you'll feel a lot better x how long back on the 20mg now? was it hard going back down again?
do you know how I know you'll get through it?
because I am a massive wet wipe and I've been trying to get better for 12 months now so if I can keep fighting you sure as hell can!
blips really do knock your confidence but it will ease x try your best to tell yourself it's only temporary x sorry I cant be much more help x 😓

thank you....I did smile at the wet wipe comment and yes I am a trooper...and I will do this.......5 weeks now....its the longest stretch Ive done at one dose in the 21 weeks! my problem was reacting to every blip....so this time im going to not react.....see if anything changes! im also going to take a small amount of diazapam every day to see if it helps
as for going down in the dose, ive no idea, its all blurred into one big nauseous, retching bad memory!!

hahahaha awww bless you! I've made the same mistake lou. I was a thousand times better than I am now when I had a big blip on citalopram last time and ended up changing to mirtazipine (pure evil!) and then sertraline which was just a massive kick in the goodies! horrible stuff. I wish I just stuck it out. worst mistake of my life. so please please ride it out and stick with it x you will be so glad you did. when you are better you'll look back and think about how bad things are and how far you've come and it will be an amazing feeling x
you're seeing improvements and the anxiety is trying to latch on so don't let it win and stay the course 💪💪
the hardest parts are over now x
another reason to stick it out is I'm going F*****g bald with stress! I'm only 29! 😠I'm gonna look like an egg! 😂😂

If the pills are working properly, then the longer you take them the less you care about those blips.
The first few years I was on citalopram and they worked well, I would have one every few months. Sometimes they last a night, sometimes a few nights, but thanks to my meds I never worried too much about them, making them go away even faster.

The improvements are a really good sign! I think you’re on the right med, you just need to give it more time or an increase. Just don’t worry too much, you’re on the right track!

Rough again today......doubting it all....rang my boss as I am not fit for work. Had a good chat with my counsellor....my thinking doesn't help me as I am very black and white and set really high expectations for myself which is why I crash........ I have to stop putting pressure on myself but not sure how to do it......this is all just exhausting........please give me the strength to push through.....
