Demroid Cysts

Hi,

So I was having pains October 2015 really badly, I went to two different hospitals, one said it was my appendix and I'd have appendicitis and the other said it was my gall bladder. (Back story: I am 21, overweight and have been dealing with this pain since 2015). They gave me pain medicine for it but that was it.. "Just deal with the pain". It goes away for almost 2 years.. and then in December 2016 the pain started again, I thought nothing of it because it could be just period cramps.. January comes around and the pain lasted nearly 6 hours.. so I was in the ER for almost 9 hours and they found out it was demroid cysts.. I have two, one on both of my ovaries.. one was the size of my thumb and the other the size of an orange.. it's been pretty much 8 months since I went to the hospital and the pain is back.. I don't know.. >.< this s**t sucks.. What would I have to do for the cysts to "disappear"?

Unfourtuanely they do not just disappear, or at least not in my case. Mine rupture then a new one forms a short time afterward. When they rupture it is extremely painful. Have you tried seeing an obgyn?

Dermoid cysts are solid, so won't go away on their own. They also don't usually rupture, but can twist (in rare cases).

Since both of your ovaries are affected, I would recommend talking to a fertility specialist before having them removed. Unless you aren't worried about fertility.
