dental abscess

Well as predicted I'm now on 4th prescription and i'm not seeing any difference, when the pain starts its still agony, or so i thought until this evening when i've just an hour of the worst pain I've ever felt, (mother of 3). The pain still covers one half of my face and has made its way down to the back of my neck, My face felt on fire, my mouth and throat too painful to move. The soft part of my head next to my eye felt like it was going to explode in excruciating agony and my eyesight on that side of my face became blurred. The pain was so intense i felt sick, constantly salivating and unable to swallow and shaking from head to foot. Have taken plenty of painkillers and i thank god (or the makers of these painkillers) that this only lasted an hour. Completely shaken by the whole experience and drained, I'm going to bed and setting the alarm clock for more painkillers in 3 hours. If the infection has to be gone before the extraction at this rate its never gonna happen 6 days left and counting.

Your dentist must be a sadist, you cant get rid of the infection because the toofs still in there, did this dentist even try to pull / work on it? :?

It really worries me that you say your eyesight is affected - it sounds as if the infection is spreading. If your 4th lot of antibiotics don't have any effect soon you must seek some other sort of help - you can't go around with that amount of infection for so long - it could end up in the bone. I really don't know who to suggest as your dentist seems pretty useless - you could try NHS Direct - they may be able to come up with something of help. Good luck!
