Dental treatment post hip replacement

I had a right total hip replacement 4 weeks ago . One week prior to this i cracked my tooth , the dentist said there were no signs of infection and she managed to seal and fill the tooth . She said it my not work and i may need a crown . The surgeon was happy to goahed with hip replacement as no infection

Everything has been ok with tooth until this week when ive started having problems with sensitivity and pain on biting down .

Ive read that dental work should be delayed until 12 weeks after hip replacement .

Unsure as to wether i can see dentist and have treatment now . Dont see my orthopeadic surgeon until 6/12 . Any advice wiuld be appreciated as im starting to worry about it now

see your dentist he will help you access your treatment issues and also remember to take antibiotics before treatment at 500 - 1000 mg amoxicillian and 500-1000mg for two days after is generally what my doc recommends to prevent any infection gaining access to the blood stream thru dentistry which is rare but better to be safe by taking pre and post meds due to any dental treatments usually up to 1 year or more after primary surgery.
