Dental work after THR

Posted , 13 users are following.

I've read that most dental procedures should wait until about 3 months after THR.

Wondering about antibiotics before dental procedures. I know it's not always necessary as it was in the past, but has anyone had their dentists suggest taking them?

I was told 2000 mg amoxicillin 1 hour before dental work ( as well using prior to any  colon and bladder) procedures for life).  I'm in the States.

I was just reading today about a man in the UK who has a case of gonorrhea that is so far totally resistant to the usual antibiotics. They are now using one more antibiotic in the hopes that it will work. So now there is a gonorrhea strain that could be untreatable with the current antibiotics available.

It’s called Super Gonorrhea and is strain resistant.  It has been around for years actually
