Depersonalization

Has sertraline cured anyone's depersonalization? I've had derealization for 12 years 24/7. I was on 50mg for a week then 100mg for 3 weeks now I'm on day 32 at 150mg. I've noticed sometimes like my vision trying to re-focus it self and sometimes things seem abit more clearer and brighter now and then. I know it will take a while for it to go away since I've had it for so long. Anyways my panic attacks have gone since starting sertraline at 150mg, my anxiety is still quite bad but no where near as bad as it was. I had to cross tapered from citalopram because after 7 years on it, it pooped out and gave me horrendous anxiety and panic attacks! I just hope sertraline does get better then this because I'm still not feeling like myself!

    HI Pamela,

I’m on week 6 tomorrow of 150 and am starting to finally feel less anxious. So far to go still cause I’m on edge a lot but it’s better for sure. If your having little improvements then it’s starting to work. Won’t be long now. You could always go to 200 in a couple of weeks if your still struggling.

Not sure about the depersonalisation but my friend was on citalopram and straight swop onto sertraline. She didn’t feel much improvement TIL she hit 200. But she said it’s better on sertraline when it finally starts working. Stay strong lovely x

      How you feeling Pamela?

I’ve been doing ok for a few days. Getting into the festive spirit and minimal anxiety. Tonight I took a dizzy turn where I felt ill (I’m just getting over a nasty cold) and I spiralled into quite bad anxiety. Just trying to pull myself out of it but struggling.

I'm OK all day till about 4-7pm then I get intense pressure in my head...other then that I'm doing a lot better (apart from depersonalisation; wish it would bloody good away lol) hope you have a Wonderful Christmas Kerry, I'm looking forward to watching my little boy open his pressies and eat as much food as possible lol x
