Hi I've had depression and anxiety and agoraphobia (social anxiety) on and off since I was 20 I am now 25. I suffered the first time when I was 20-22 then I had a break for a year then when I was 23 it started all over again depression and Anxiety then when I was 24 I had another break from it, now its started all over again i cannot leave the house yet again I don't know why it keeps coming back its so tiring and it taken the majority of my early 20s I'm fed up. Has anyone else experienced this where it goes away then comes back? Thanks in advance

Yes i have experinced that where i am fine then the anxieties and depression comes back

This is when i am under a lot of stress like today i was doing fine but when i was around people I felt anxious and had to leave the room

It comes then it goes away but you have to realize that it is there maybe you need some meds like an SSRI to help with your depression  talk to your doctor

Hi, leelaa:  I think we all can relate to what you are having.  You get better and think you are "well", but anxiety/depression, etc., has a way of returning over and over again.  Take it from me, sweetie.  I'm 67 and I started having anxiety when I was about three years old.  I am on several meds for it, and I get better and then all the sudden, if I get nervous or afraid of something, the anxiety is almost unbearable..The next day, I might be fine.  At my age, I have a lot of other medical problems, which keeps me in a tizzy just about all the time.  I go to countless doctors. What you have to do is realize that you don't feel good today, but you WILL feel better tomorrow...Take deep breaths and try your best to keep busy and go out a little at a time...Take baby steps and you will find that you are depressed and anxious less and less...God bless....
