I did. But it is understandable, anyone with chronic pain will suffer from depression. Unfortunately the depression can contribute to the vulvodynia. I’m not sure how to help you out of the depression - sleeping better (amitriptyline) helps a lot. You need to get angry, get determined, get “I refuse to be like this for the rest of my life”. My gynaecologist telling me that he couldn’t cure me he could just help me managed the pain is what did it for me - I said I don’t want to manage the pain, I want to be free of it, and set about finding another dr who could help me (dermatologist specialising in vulva pain). And when I was pain free I emailed my gynae and told him how I’d done it.

      Hi Sukigirl...

I have found a specialist in vulvodynia.  She says she has worked with hundreds of women lilke me with this problem.  I see her in February....  No more meds!  i"m already on three and won't take anymore.  I'm fed up withi this too and am following some of your guidelines.  I can't take coconut oil anymore. I';m allergic to it. I have blisters all over my upper legs and labia. I am going to work on getting rid of this like you did. I've also been reading about depression and found some ways to eradicate it. I have printed out what you told us about eliminating it... forever.  Thank you so much! smile smile Debi

I’m so pleased that you are staying optimistic. Don’t let this thing beat you. It is not normal, something is wrong, so there must be a way to fix it. The body can always fix itself, sometimes it needs a helping had, it is just a matter of finding what works for you. It is such a shame that we have to work so hard ourselves to find what works or find a medical person who knows enough about the condition to help us. At least we are in a position to be able to do that. Imagine what it must be like for those women less fortunate than us. I was private messaging a poor girl in Africa who clearly had a serious infection for years but couldn’t get to see a dr because it cost too much.

Yes, my doctor agreed with you. She has given me Wellbutrin and some relaxation exercises. Also a CD on battling depression. I can go off the Wellbutrin when I'm ready. Thanks Suki girl.
