Depression and anxiety

Hi, I'm new on here, I've joined as I need something that can give me some hope πŸ˜”I've been on 20mg citalopram for 11 years, I became really depressed and riddled with anxiety just after Xmas this year, came out of no where 😞 doctors upped my medication to 40 mg and I feel horrendous, then tried 30 and still the same, I have been put on sertraline, 50 mg, its the 12th day on them today, I just wanted to know if any 1 else is on sertraline and do they take a couple of weeks to feel a difference? I've never felt this bad, can't function, having trouble sleeping, constantly worrying about everything πŸ˜” please tell me it well get better πŸ™

    Honest answer: it takes between 4 to 8 weeks to see real improvement. Nobody responds the same way to the medication. Been 5 months on 50mg Sertraline now an I feel great!

    hello my story is like yours i was on citalopram 11 years on highest dose when it decided it didnt want to work anymore 😭 I'm now on sertraline 150mg for 4 weeks today hopeing I will feel better soon πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ή I'm sleeping better but it's the low mood no motivation whatsoever just blah feeling don't want to do anything ect
