hi Carmen, sorry to hear that. I had a myomectomy in November 2017 for 13 fibroids and I also have Adenomyosis. I know we didn't have the same procedure but I noticed that I was more emotional, teary and very fatigued after mine. I suppose mine was open surgery but I think it may be your hormones settling and your body trying to figure out what's going on.

I don't know how old you are but it might be worth checking your ovarian reserve as well as your other hormone levels. One of the (unspoken) complications of UFE is blockage of vessels to the ovaries which can trigger early menopause. They say this is rare but I'm starting to doubt that very much. There is very little evidence for successful uncomplicated pregnancy after UFE.

Hi, sorry to hear of the adverse effects you are experiencing and at the same time, thanks for sharing. I am 40 and had a UFE done one week ago. I have been researching this for quite some time and find that forums on this topic are minimum. I only came across this forum with an similar experience of mine just days before the procedure and that post was two years ago. 'Mild depression' was noted on a hardcopy of the adverse effects of procedure I received from my doctor. It also said it was for a short period. I really do hope that you feel better.

    Hi Carmen,

I had the same experience as you. I am 3 weeks post UFE and feeling anxiety, teary, impulsive, fatigue. As if my body was having hard time to absorbe the dead tissues of the fibroid. Or could it be more hormonal related, I am not sure. But if it does not change I will consult a doctor for a myomectomy. How are you feeling now after three years? I hope all your symptoms are gone. I appreciate any feedback from others.

    Cheers,

    Reka

Hi Reka, im so sorry to hear this. i know how awful it is

mine was a mixture of both. it also ended up being

subacute thyroiditis which made me overactive which also made me feel terrible. it was mainly the thyroid. can you have an ultrasound of your thyroid? forget bloods first as mine was normal but specialist explained i have this and my body is too sensitive

let me know how you go 
