As well as severe muscle pain, STATINS are to blame for lowering the mood and causing depression. Why are the nation being perscribed them?

There is great money to be made by the pharmaceutical companies selling statins and anti-depressants. Not so much selling a healthy low cholesterol lifestyle. Granted, many people live healthy life styles and are plagued with a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol. However, many many people can lower their levels without these and live a full life.

Because it's a quick fix, I used to be a nurse and have seen 1st hand what statins can do,

My partner has had 2 heart attacks he was told to take simvistatins I butted in and told the consultant no way! He obviously didn't like it and I told my partner in front of this idiot if you take what he's offering you I can tell you 100% that you'll end up very ill (my partner has other health issues) after arguing with this fool consultant for over half an hour it was agreed that my partner would take aspirin instead and the consultants last remark made me mad as hell! He told my partner the next heart attack you'll have will kill you!!! That was 8yrs ago and although he has his ongoing medical issues he's fine so I agree 100% I was a nurse for over 26yrs
