I have been using Estrace for vaginal atrophy for 1o days so far. 4 more days then switch too twice a week. I am feeling depressed. Had anyone had mood swings or depression using these estradiol creams. I don't want to stop using it. I have had severe vaginal burning and itching and don't want to stop using it.

I don't think it was depression caused by the meds but by the horrible pain with no quick cure. You could switch to yuvafem or Vagifem after your 14 days on estrace, I use yuvafem and much prefer it over the estrace cream. It comes with a new applicator for every use and a preloaded tiny pill . no mess.

After you are done with the cream is your doctor prescribing Vagifem 10 mg 2x a week to start? It's not cream it is tablets that is inserted. Be patient as it does take awhile for your vaginal area to heal. I hope your depression improves as you feel better. Give your doctor a call and tell her how you are feeling emotionally. Don't stop using cream.
