Dermatitis On Chin

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help. I’ve got a patch of dermatitis on my chin. I went to my GP and they gave me Hydrocortisone steroid cream and Zerocream moisturiser. My doctor suggested to only use the steroid cream for 5-7 days. I’ve been using for 5 day & it hasn’t seem to do much. Has anyone got any advice on what I should do?

The reason the use of steroids is limited on the skin is that over time it thins the skin.

Keep it clean use the moisturizer then wait a few days and resume treatment . This takes time to clear up and a couple more weeks it will look much better.

When I have googled Dermatitis on the chin it says it is Perioral Dermatitis (looks exactly like what I have) and steroid cream should not be used on this condition. I really don’t know what to do for the best. I’m very stressed and worried that it is going to spread.
