Dermatuff socks and sleeves

Hi all,
After reading here about the product Dermatuff for skin that bleeds and bruises easily, I ordered a pair of socks and sleeves. First, I have to say, my skin on my arms and legs is like butter. Anything that touches it, even the slightest, will result in blood or a bruise. I was skeptical. I have been wearing them now, for a couple of weeks, without a clear opinion one way or the other. Yesterday, however, they were put to the test. I was in the garden revamping my raised beds, and was using a heavy crow bar. Yes, that's right; it hit my foreleg, and it hurt. I quickly ran to the house for the plasters, but there was no blood. Today, no sign of a bruise. They work. However, ticks can still get under them and have a feeding. But they are not meant for tick protection. They are quite dear, but worth it.

Thank you. This is good to know. I am so glad you didn't get injured - proved their worth didn't they?! What were you doing with a heavy crow bar?

I also bought both the leg and arm protectors. I bought a few of each because they take time to dry overnight in my climate. The can be machine washed and dried. My concern is in my hot and humid climate they will be too warm.
I looked around online in the US for something cooler but, for sure, less protection. I did find thin arm protectors for sports in nylon. This would be cooler than having to wear a long sleeve top in summer. I was using cut up socks but they slid around- helpful though.

I am concerned about the heat, when it comes, if it comes. Don't know what I will do. I live in Vermont, and we are suppose to get a bit of snow tonight.

Did you buy the thin ones? if you did, I’d be interested to know what you think of them so far.

I suppose you'll be able to report back soon enough! Although where I am I don't know when Spring will properly arrive. There was a little hail (small) this morning before a very cold rain set in for the rest of the day. We've had a couple of really lovely days. Just a tease they were.....

I have to report on the Dermatuff socks and sleeves again.
My first pair of sleeves had a few pulls in them, and I emailed the company and told them. They promptly sent out, not just another pair of sleeves, but an extra pair of socks too. I was really impressed. And so far, they are working wonderfully.
