Hi guys

So for about 10 weeks now I've had head aches at the back of my head (in the dipped in part), and also at the top of my forehead, I also have a lot of pain in my neck and some in my shoulders too.

I have no sinus symptoms and have recently had an MRI/MRA of my brain and neck. He said it's all good, so now I'm at a total loss with the headaches and neck pain

I was also put on a heart monitor as I seem to have a very fast heart rate after any amount of alchohol but he says it's a normal fast heart rate and hasn't done anything else.

I also get very lightheaded and often see silver stars, eating sometimes relieves most my pain.

Nobody is helping me and acting like I'm imagining it when I can only tell you how very real and sore/depressed it is, I'm normally very active and now just tired all the time.

I have a 3 year old so need to get back to normal for his sake too!

Please help sad x

    Hi Hannah,

Sorry you are having such a miserable time.

Its typical of the medical profession and often many members of the public, that they have no sympathy for people who suffer from any form of headache or migraine.  even more so when MRI has thrown up nothing sinister.

The point is you still need some relief and Drs dont know enough about the brain and nerves.

What I would suggest is you get your GP to do a range of blood tests to see if you are deficient in anything.  For instance, low magnesium can cause some of the symptoms you describe.

I am not a Dr I am just a fellow sufferer who has come along a long path and had many dark days and experiences with headaches.

Good luck and let us know how you get one.

    Take care

Thank you and I'm sorry you've suffered with no relief by the sounds of it.

I hadn't my bloods done in September so The doctor won't do them again as apparently nothing can change in This short time! Not sure I believe that though.

My headaches seem to have cleared up although when I get neck pain I'm noticing I then get headaches.  So going to see physiotherapist, I just can't bare them and I have a high pain threshold!

Maybe an option for you to try if you havent already? Maybe a pinched nerve or something?

Thank you again and wish you all the best xx
